Question I have a 1998 Dodge Neon Highline and my fuel pump went out recently but I am not sure where it is located coulod you please help me.
Answer Hi Angela,
The fuel pump in inside the fuel tank. You have lift the rear of the car and support it on jack stands, then disconnect some tubes and plugs, and drain the remaining gas in the tank from the tank, then remove the straps that hold the tank in place and support it with a jack and lower down. That give you access to the fuel pump module which is held in place by a large round flange. Then reverse to install. I can xerox and postal mail you the pages that show the steps if you will tell me a postal mailing address.
Roland
PS Did you check fuse 10 in box under the dash, and fuse 21 in the box under the hood? Those have to be good to power the pump.
