Question QUESTION: My son has a dodge ram pickup 2007, that he has lost both set of keys the color of the top part of the key is grey. Is there any way that I can get a key made without me having to bring the truck to the dealership. I have the vin# I have called and they had told me that I have to bring it to the dealership to be program. What is the program part for. Can they just make me the key so I can drive it to the dealership and then they can program it then. Please help me. Thanks, Gloria Snyder
ANSWER: need the key and the car at the dealer at the same time. U dont program the keys U program key to the car.

QUESTION: You said that I have to have the truck there, so you mean if the key is made they have to program it to fit in the truck to start it. Someone told me that there is a website that you can go to and they can make the key all they will need is the vin# the cost will be $190.00. I really can not afford a towing truck to pick up the Truck. Do you know of that website if so let me know. Please let me know today..

Answer U dont program the keys the keys are programed to the truck.
that means u can take any blank key and program it to the truck the truck has to be put into programing mode in order to program any new key understand now?
the key and the truck has to be at the dealer same time.
if U could program a key off the internet what would stop a car thief from doing that and stealing your truck would that not make they whole key alarm thing kinda stupid?
