Question my 2003 caravan has a p106 diagnostic code can you tell me what this means?
Answer Hi Wendie,
It says that the sensor that measures the pressure in the intake manifold is outside the range of normal, suggesting either that the sensor is bad or its wires have been compromised. It is mounted on the intake manifold adjacent to the power steering fluid reservoir (3.3 or 3.8L engine). It has a plug with a 3-wire harness. So find it and then inspect the wire harness for signs of damage to the insulation and if you find none it would probably be the case that the sensor itself needs to be replaced. It is called the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor. You simply lift the tab on its plug to remove, then unscrew the screws that hold it to the manifold and put in a new one.
