Question
Roland -
I just replaced the driver's side power door lock actuator which failed on my 2006 Chrysler T&C. I have manual sliding doors. Confirmed the acuator works, however, I cannot open the door now having closed it during the reinstallation. Is this the child door lock - how do I fix this? I cannot open the door obviously to actuate the position on the outside of the door. Need your HELP!!

Answer
PS: Thanks for the information. I am wondering whether what you are describing is just one of the four or so rods/cables that attach to the latch assembly theat come from other parts of the door, or is this something special that isn't shown/known generally about the problem?
Thanks for any specific you can give me. I assume the actuator in question is for the electrically operated door lock, and this is not a power sliding door, correct?

Hi Dale,
I am not sure I understand you as to which door is not opening, the driver door or the sliding door?
As I don't have personal experience with the situation or the system my thought would be to send you the 6 pages of text from the '06 manual about the power door locks, and about 4 pages from the wiring diagrams that show the circuits for those locks. But do tell me which of the doors is having the problem.
I can copy these pages off of a CD, then attach them to an email directly sent to you from my computer. To do that I need to know your email address which I otherwise don't see as Allexperts doesn't routinely share that with the expert. So to do that you need to ask a NEW question, and in the text tell me your email address/which door is involved. Then CLICK ON the box that will keep this question "private" (otherwise the email address will be automatically deleted from your message to me).
