Question
QUESTION: I was told i had a bad fuel pump. I replaced the fuel pump and the crank sensor. The van turns over well but will not start.it is not getting any fuel. any help would be appreciated

ANSWER: Hi Ronald,
Do you hear the fuel pump run for about 1 second when you turn the key to the run position?
If so that that is good and normal. So when you try starting it is should begin to hum again but you might find it hard to hear that.
But if the cam sensor or the crank sensor signal is not 'seen' by the powertrain controller it will not allow the pump to continue or the spark to fire as a safety precaution. It does that by opening the ASD relay.
So, if you can't tell if the fuel pump is running while you are cranking it over, then I would remove a plug and test it for spark while cranking it over. If no spark, then one or the other of those sensors is still bad. If you do have spark, then:
Try the ignition key:"on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch to see if the mileage reading changes to show any 4 digit number in the instrument cluster. It may work as a way of getting fault codes but I am not certain that is available on the '00 model. If not, then a plug-in fault code reader, under the dash by the steering column, would be the way to get a lead to the problem.
Let me know what you learn and best of luck.

QUESTION: code 55. have spark, no fuel

Answer
You didn't tell me about the fuel pump hum situation. But if you have spark it isn't the sensors. It has to be the fuses/wiring or pump that is at fault. Did you check the positive temp coefficient fuse #1 in the box under the dash (on the very left, bottom). Also check fuse 16 in the box under the hood.
