I have tried all of the advise you have given above and has not worked. Can you please explain how to fake out the body computer? It does not show in the manual. We just put a new transmission in the van and do not have the money to buy another vehicle.

I had the same problem on my 98 T/C. Removed instrument cluster and resoldered boards where the cables connect. It's been starting fine with no problem for two years now.
