Question
my fan started to blow on high only, did this for about tywo weeks then the fan stopped working, went to my local mechanic told me the resistgor was bad and in turn that made my motor go bad.so I have replaced both the motoe and the resistor and the front will still not even come on the only way to get air in the front is if we r going down the highway and it blows real slow...please help it is hot!!!

Answer
Hi Vernon,
I will assume this is a conventional temp control unit rather than an Autmatic temp control type. If yours has 5 fan speed choices that would be the conventional unit.
Other than the blower motor resistor block and the motor, the other parts that are involved are fuse 10 in the power box (40 amp) which is located adjacent to the relay in the box (inboard and slightly forward there of) and the blower relay itself and the control switch for the blower. So check out fuse 10 checking to be sure it doesn't have a subtle crack in the wire. Then try switching out the blower relay with another one in the box that has the same part number, and see if that solves the problem. If neither, then we have to check for voltage at several spots to localize the problem; do you have a volt-ohm meter?
