so i took my vin# to chrysler and my neon does not have a egr valve on it. do you think its time to break down and buy the belt tensioner?

Hi Todd,
I would consider it, if you have trust in the shop's diagnosis. But let me offer to send you the pages that describe the power steering/ac belt tensioner/pulley/belt installation in all its details as the system is detailed and complex. You could read it and show it to the shop or another shop for their opinion before deciding what to do. I can't diagnose the situation but I can share the info. If you want the pages I can attach them to an email. But I need to know youe email address which I don't routinely see. So send me a 'private option' follow-up and tell me your email address.
