QUESTION: Hi Experts,
         I have a 2003 Town and Country 3.8L v6.............My overhead console readings are changing from miles to KM, deg C to F........ETC cannot program the service KMS etc and keppins switching back and forth............I changed the Temprature sensor in front of the Rad..............Didnt Help...............Can Anyone help me to find whats wrong and how it can be fixed............

ANSWER: Hi Ukesh,
Try a self-diagnostic test:
With the ignition 'off', simultaneously press and hold the C/T and US/M buttons. Then while holding them turn the ignition to the 'run' position and then release the buttons. See what happens and let me know.

QUESTION: Hi Roland,
         I am truly glad to hear from U, Sir. Thank U. I triedas requested:
Pesssed the Reset and Step Button together and restarted this is what the overhead read:

"SOFTWARE REV:
EVIC=63 HL=15"

and after a second or so the message disappears and displays the following;

"FAILED SELF TEST"

Hi Ukesh,
The manual says that there is a component failure inside the unit and that it therefor must be replaced. My suggestion would be to remove the unit, open it up, and see if there is a simple electronic component such as a electrolytic capacitor that has begun to leak a liquid onto the circuit board or a resistor that has burned out. If so, you could note the size and replace it using a soldering pencil.
To remove it you remove the screw at the front of the console. Then grasp the sides of the console with your finger tips and pull it straight does to release it from spring clips at the rear of the console. Then release the electrical plugs from the back side and you will be able to open it on the work bench for inspection and possible part replacement.
