Question
How do I take off the rear view mirror on a 2000 Chrysler sebring LXI hardtop?  It has a2.5 v6 in it. The mirror is the one with auto dimming, map lights and compass on it.  I have taken one piece off the bottom of the mount and it is attached only to a small cpu board.  If you need pics I can supply them.

Hi Vance,
The '00 manual only shows the mirror/reading lamp/compass assembly to be removed by noticing a slit in the front edge of the mounting bracket, to the right of center. If you put a flat blade screwdriver in the slit and push on a spring you should while doing that be able to remove the mirror assembly by sliding in rearward along the surface of the header to which it is attached.
