Chrysler Repair/2005 dodge stratus - lock/unlock disable headlights

Question
Hello Sir,
I have a 2005 Dodge Stratus SXT 2.4 automatic.
I would like to know if I can disable the headlights to flash when I lock/unlock the car from remote and maybe redirect it to the hazard lights.
I have installed bi-xenon Mini H1 projectors in my car and this will trigger my hid lights every time I lock/unlock the car.
I was wondering if is a 'magical' combination of pressing lock/unlock/panic...'coz I don't have anything else to press on in my car except the trip computer..

Thank you
Sev

Answer
Hi Sev,
The logic programming of what response the body computer should take when the remote is used is not likely to be modified in any simple way. It probably isn't hard wired, but it may very well be "hard programmed" so as not to be modified with diagnostic readout box. If it really is an issue, you might just have to use the door key to lock and unlock the car. If that still doesn't stop the flashing then you will have to forgo the vehicle theft prevention system entirely. You can do that by only using the internal push buttons to secure the doors as you leave...don't lock the doors with the power locks, or with the door key, or the remote. Then you can come back, upen the door with the key and nothing should flash.
