1997 dodge breeze,2.0 engine,brake pad retention clips pop off after they have been replaced.it last about 2 weeks,husband bought the sturdier clips and we had to replace one side twice and the other side 3 times.is this year just a bad design,what are we doing wrong,

Hi Jill,
I have the '96 and '99 manuals and they are identical as regards the front calipers, so either should address your '97. I haven't heard of this problem so far, so it may be something you are doing. I can offer to photocopy the pages from the manual and postal mail them to you. Just send me back a follow-up private question giving that address.
