Question
QUESTION: Need to know the location of the Body Control module for my 1997 Chrysler Town and Country LXi.

ANSWER: Hi Manuel,
You need to remove the lower steering column cover and the knee blocker reinforcement. Then you will see the junction (fuse) block to the left of the brake pedal, and the body control module is actually attached to the back side of the block. There are screws that hold the two together and once those are remove the module slides downward to separate them. You would want to remove the two plugs from the module, then remove the junction block from its bracket, and finally remove the screws that hold them together and slide them apart.

QUESTION: Where can I buy a new Body Control Module it's pretty expensive from a dealer, and will it be programmed for my van.

Thanks

Answer
The best way to find one at a fair price is a wrecking yard. Try to find a van that is the same model year and features. To the extent that the vehicle from which the van is obtained is functionally identical with your van there will be no programing required, but where the vehicle have different features that are moderated by the body controlled there will have to be re-programming of the new BCM.
