Question
QUESTION: Is there any way to check the condition of the circuit board of the instrument cluster in a 2002 voyager 3.3 V6. The cluster is not working at all, no lights or gauges and turn signals do not work as well hope you can help thanks

ANSWER: hi Daren,
The fuses for the body control module are my suspects. Check 14,19,20 and 24 for possibly being blown or have a slubtle crack in the wire. I wouldn't get into the cluster until those fuses prove to be OK.

QUESTION: fuses check out where should i begin to search wire for crack and would a bad cluster effect turn signals.

Answer
Hi Daren,
On the cluster itself, Pin 6 should show 12v coming from fuse 24, and pins 7 and 13 should show ground to the chassis. The other pins on the cluster are data and driver wires for the various specific of the cluster. So see if you show 12v on pin 6 of the plug and then verify the socket pin is attached to the circuit electricially. Similarly check 7 and 13 to be grounded at the plug, and between the socket and the circuit board there are patent connections. It may just be a cold solder joint.
It is a long shot that the cluster being 'out' is taking out the turn signals. The signals are totally powered through the body control module, with no separately assigned fuses and nothing coming out of the cluster would impact the turn signals from what I can tell. The two wires from the switch at the column are on pins 2 and 3 of its plug. The violet/orange on pin 2 goes to pin 22 of the black/gray plug at the bcm and the white/blue on pin 3 goes to pin 31 at  black/black plug the bcm. The fuse 24 may be the only connection but you say it is good. You might try a free fault code readout at an Autozone parts store to see if the body computer has any indication of what might be wrong. Get the code numbers and let me know.
