Chrysler Repair/a 6 inch (roughly) cylindrical metal belt guide fell off my car

Question
I have a 2001 sebring LXi 3.0. V6 24 valve.  I stopped at a gas station and turned off my car it was running a little rough, I heard a clang. As I pulled away I saw the bottom belt pully laying on the ground it is the brake and alternator belt I am assuming because those lights came on. The belt is in good shape. Why would this fall off what is this and how do I fix it. Thank you in advance

Answer
Hi Aaron,
I suspect this is the belt tensioner, but I can't identify exactly which engine you are speaking of. I have a '00 Sebring coupe manual which only describes the 2.5L V-6 and a '03 Sebring sedan manual that describes the 2.7L V-6. I don't show any 24 valve 3.0L engines in my manuals.
If you have all the parts it is likely just a matter of reattaching the tensioner by bolting it back into the hole from which it came unscrewed.

PS Sorry for the delay but I just found your question in the 'pool' to which Kevin referred it.
