Chrysler Repair/98 Town & Country LXi: false alarm

Question
The alarm has went off randomly 3 times in the past 24 hours. Twice within 2 minutes about an hour we had driven it and again about 12 hours later. The van was unlocked in our garage all three times. We are able to shut the alarm off by holding the panic button on the key-bob few seconds. Any ideas what would be causing this?
Thanks, Duane

Answer
Hi Duane,
If the alarm system isn't armed it shouldn't go off. What is the status of the alarm light on the top of the dash when this happens? Could it be unknowingly left 'armed'?

PS Sorry for the delay but I just found your question in the 'pool' to which Kevin had referred it.
