I just wanted to tell you what I found to be the issue with this truck.... I have no idea how it came to be this but it is the cruise control servo shorted out and gave it a high voltage read on tps and caused all the trans and stalling issues. I discovered this when I was driving the truck and pushed the cancel button and it shifted. I am amazed with all the people and things that have been brought up I fixed it on a fluke. Wanted to get that out there and if anyone has a weird issue try looking at cruise control it is a quick thing if I helped ya then you will save money and utter frustartion. I hate losing so I couldnt lose so finally over! Thanks for all the help on this.

Thanks for sharing that info. Sorry that I didn't have the wiring diagrams. But didn't we consider the proximity of the cruise wire to the tps wire at the pcm plug? Is that where you found the short, or was it in the harness?
