Question
QUESTION: I have had an absolute nightmare of a time with this truck I had a p0123 fault code. What I have discovered after hours of wiring and diagnostics it is nothing in the tps circuit at all. While doing a test drive of this truck witha s olus pro scanner on it I could see the gears run through there cycle but the trans would not show it shifting out of 1st gear which it does because I can get it to road speed it has no OD now. I am going to unplug some sensors on the trans today and see if I can get that MIL to go out I have worked more hours on this truck than you could imagine this is the first real progress I have had. Any idea why or how this could be possible ever hear of something like this before? Thanks alot any insight would be appreciated I am hoping you may have an idea as to what it could be. Shorted solenoid is my guess.....

ANSWER: what makes u think it is not a tps sensor?  and unplugging other sensors will not make a mil light go out  if anything  it will turn it on faster.

QUESTION: I was unplugging other sensors to try and get the wot reading to go away. I have replaced the tps twice although they are aftermarket. They work....they show resistance and the voltage reads at koeo .95v up to 5.1v with manual throttle acceleration. I have changed the PCM also I bought a reman from Carquest first one had and abs fault this one had no abs issue both had same code appear immediately with key turned to on position. I just dont know whatelse there is... I have verified ground, reference wire controls almost everything in that truck as well as ground. I have heard clocksprings but the voltage isn't actually high so I don't see how that could b it I have unhooked the clocksprings as well as cruise control plug under dash. I am running out of ideas and really would like to keep the truck I just got it nice body great tires etc. But I am at a loss... Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

ANSWER: with the key on car not running  what are the voltage readings on each 3 wire?

QUESTION: Ground shows voltage comparable to the source of voltage if bat 12.5 if it's reference wire it is 5.6 the center wire is .95v the power wire is 5.6... Thanks

Answer
what engine size do U have?  the voltages are not good  they need to be 5  5   and ground  no voltage at all.  SO u have a wire in that set that is bleeding over to one of the other wires.
Need wire color readings  what is the voltage on each color wire
