Question
drove car to lunch and returned to work. the car started, ran and stopped just fine. Two-hours later, turned key to start and nothing--no cranking, no clicks--no sounds at all. Noticed that while starting the car or leaving the ignition in ON position that none of the usual light icons that flash on dash display were flashing or coming on (the only things to light up were the oil light and odometer miles). The fan blower switch operated but the radio did not work. tapped hard on starter but no luck. Any advice appreciated---thank you

Hi Frank,
It sounds like either the battery is poorly connected to the car or has been heavily discharged due to something being left on (such as the headlights) or the battery has failed internally. So check the clamps at the battery as well as the remote ground connection for the battery on the strut tower. Also check the age of the battery as if it is near the end of warranty that would be a plausible reason for failure. See if you can get it started with a 'jump'.
