1999 Dodge Grand Caravan 165K 3.3L

I am going to replace valve cover gaskets.

Do I need to use RTV silicon to make a perfect seal with the new gaskets or just use the gaskets as these come.

Any special precuation in doing the job?

Hi Shafique,
No silicon is mentioned, just that the gaskete be in good condition. If the bolts are the simple type you torque to 105 inch-pounds, if there are three accessory 'isolaters' with each bolt then your tignter those to 90 inch-pounds.
