Chrysler Repair/caravan shaking front end under power

The problem sounds like the one my mom had on her 2000 caravan. The shaking   the goes away when you let off the gas was the first issues, then the strut mount broke while driving at slow speed. I hoped that the new strut would fix the shakes but it did not. I tried the other strut and the replacement did not stop the shaking.   An online trouble shooting site helped me narrow it down to the CV joint/axle or also called the half shaft. You can get a brand new one for about $50-$60 at the auto parts store. I did mine myself after watching a few videos on the web. The job can be done in an afternoon or so. The new cv axle fixed the shakes and now the van rides great. Hope this helps. I had a hard time finding any solid first hand advice.
