Question
What are the likely legal ramifications of the new Old Testament and New Testament Bible Courses being offered in GA?  How are those ramifications likely to impact public education?
What previous cases would be controlling precedent in deciding any cases that might arise in GA?

Answer
Hello,

I cannot provide specific legal advice, but generally speaking, a public school can offer classes where they are teaching about religions, but cannot seek to indoctrinate in a particular religion.  A course which taught only the Christian Bible would likey be struck down as being unconstutionally sectarian.
