Question
Where is God? You hear of all the violence in the world, global warming slowly we are all dieing is this another Noah's ark? or is God gone?

Answer
Hi!

Frank, God is not gone. The first thing you must remember, according to Genesis 1, is that God created everything "good." In the Hebrew, this word actually means perfect. God did not want the evil. Satan and man caused it.

According to Micah 7:15 (and the surrounding verses), God would show future miracles exactly as He did in the days of the wandering of Israel. Exactly means they would be the same in every aspect. This would include time. Since Israel wandered 40 years, miracles in the church would only last 40 years. They are long gone.

God still cares for us via providence. Among these actions are the rain and sun. Another gift is a path to salvation; through His Grace (Ephesians 2:8). After giving us Grace (His part), He left part of it up to us (faith, which includes obedience to his commands for salvation). He gave us all things that pertain to both life (physical) and godliness (spiritual) according to 2nd Peter 1:3. Once He gives us everything we need, we are on our own beyond that.

God wants all people to come to Heaven. Yet, according to Matthew 7:14, most will not make it to Heaven. This is not the fault of God, but of man. In the meantime, none of us would long for the comfort of Heaven without the discomfort we feel on earth.

Genesis 8:22, "While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."

The earth will be in existence for as long as man will need it for a home. Do not worry about global warming. It is junk science. The Bible has a name for such (1st Timothy 6:20). Over 33,000 scientists today say it is based on faulty data entered into the math formulae in the first place. We experience natural cycles.

If the cycle ever does go beyond the normal, you still do not need to worry, as it may just be that God is ready to end it all, and take us before the earth becomes uninhabitable. As a Christian, this would be a blessing, rather than a curse.

Frank, I am not a scientist. I cannot give you any of the details I have read. I realize this is a brief answer, but I pray I have been able to alleviate at least some of your concerns. If you need more details in spiritual matters, I will try if you can specify further. This holds true if it is on this topic or another.

Expertise

I consider myself to be a "doctrine specialist" if there is such a thing. I offer scripture to support or refute (as needed) any doctrine practiced within what is commonly termed "Christianity" today. I am willing to try questions on prophecy and history, though they are weak points. I have learned a little, however. Also, as I am disabled, I have time to research many things. For example, I can find a congregation of the church within twenty miles of your ZIP Code if one exists. If traveling, I can locate a congregation for your visit. I am accountable in this ministry to a group of Christians. I will share my answers with them for review. If a question is private, I will redact the names for privacy.

Experience

I became a Christian on April 7, 1969. I have been a substitute, spur-of-the-moment preacher for thirty years. My last pulpit was with the congregation in Braswell, GA. My sermons have always contained at least fifty percent scripture. On occasion, I have preached in seven states, and four foreign nations. This is beside my online ministry. I am now, officially retired.

I hope to never mislead anyone saying I'm a member of one group, when I'm really in another as one here does. By his own admission, he isn't a member of the church, but of the "Christian Church" (sic) denomination. If I can be honest, I don't know why others would want to lie.

Education/Credentials
Having already acquired significant Bible education from self-study, I attended 1.5 years of Bible college through the church at Dyersburg, TN (before my health waned) in an attempt to get paper to say I know what I know.
