Churches Of Christ/Baptism for remission of sins

Question
I have been talking with a good friend who is going to a "Baptist church". I have talked in length about Acts 2:38 using all of the conversions in the book of Acts and 1 Peter 3:21 etc but nothing seems to effect his Baptist thought pattern. Is there anything else I can use to get through that it is a requirement for salvation?

It is good to hear that your were teaching your good friend the truth of God word. Unfortunately some hold on to the traditions they have learned and will not give them up even when confronted with the truth. Pray for your friend that God will give your friend time to wake up to the truth. Basically, I would do the same thing you would do in that situation with the same scriptures. Our job is to preach the word, but we can not force anyone to obey, just continue to pray that your friend recieves the truth while he stills has his life.
