Question
Hi,

What exactly is the Church of Christ?  How does it differ from other groups, such as Baptists, Presbyterians, etc?

Answer
This is a broad question, there are many differences in structure, teaching, beliefs, leadership, rules/bylaws etc.  Most churches of Christ can be divided into 2 groups Instrumental and non-instrumental.  The COC believes that the new testament church should be the model that we as a modern church follow,  and if something cannot be proven to of been practiced in the 1st century church it should not be followed.  The COC places a heavy emphasis on Baptism of the believer and most insist that without the baptism the soul of the believer is in questionable standing before G-d almighty. As a whole they tend to overlook the teachings of the OT as being overruled by the NT rather then being fulfilled and still a guide (Gal. 2). Most COC are independent having no national leadership and each parish/church rules itself. There are no bylaws that as a whole are agreed upon. If you need any further help, please ask again.
