hello!

have u heard of bands like demon hunter, stryper, antestor, and the like?

is it really ok to use the rock, heavy metal style in spreading or sharing God's word?!

Yes, I have heard of some of those groups and am aware of the fact that there are many groups like them professing to be Christian. I do not believe any of those groups are spreading or sharing God's truth accurately to say the least. All of them are from denominations if they are truly from any group at all that claims to be Christian. Stryper was caught with cocaine in their early days of being a popular "Christian" metal band. I think they are generally using God and what is believed to be Christianity to gain fame and money because they were not able to break into the secular world of music.

I do not think we are authorized to spread the gospel through any of these pop and rock and metal styles of music at all. The true church of Christ is made up of people that are known to be Christians by their love not by any other way - wearing cross jewelry or t-shirts etc.

John 13:34, 35

1 Tim.4:12  Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
