I'm not sure what congregations Marc has been exposed to in his life, but congregations who are attempting to live completely and only by the Bible do not observe any religious holidays including Christmas and Easter.  We have no authorization do so in scripture and so we don't.

All we observe is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ in memory of him as he asked.  This is done on every first day of the week as we have example in Acts 20:7 by implied command in 1 Cor. 11:17f and 1 Cor. 16:1-2.

In Truth and Love,
