About Onaga Thomas
Expertise
I am a member of the Park East Church of Christ in Denver, CO. I can answer any questions any people out there have regarding the Churches of Christ. Whether it be about our history, services, spirituallity or why we believe in only one church. Write me with any concerns you have about the Church of Christ and I will do my best to answer them

Experience
I was born and raised in the Church of Christ and was baptized at age 10. With the help of my mother and father, brothers and sisters of the church, christian friends etc...I have a profound knowledge of the truth about the Word of God. I am strong in my beliefs and convictions and will answer anyones questions with scriptual knowledge and fact. I want to boldly proclaim the true Word of God according to Bible principal instead of what I think or what someone has told me.

Churches Of Christ - announcements at end of service

Expert: Onaga Thomas - 7/9/2009

Question
When announcements are made at end of service why ask "any men have anything to add to announcements" Does that mean a woman can not announce a request or give information on her family?

Answer
Thankyou for your question Tony

Personally, I don't know why someone would phrase adding a new announcement as if only a man would have new infomation.  Information is not condusive to a set time, meaning new info can happen at any moment.  At the Mile High Church of Christ, we ask if anyone (man or woman) who recieves and new announcement the church needs to know about (ie..pray about, info on church member or activity) that they relay the information to our elders and deacons ( or ushers) who will then give it to the evangelist, who will make sure it is announced before services end.  Announcement are an important part of worship and should be available to open to men and women when providing a new announcent.

God Bless

Onaga
