Churches Of Christ/the one church

QuestionDear Mr. Onaga. Holy greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. On my above mentioned subject it is accepted in christianity that there is only one church. Am I therefore correct in concluding that this one and only church believes only one doctrine concerning God and his salvation? Is it really possible for this one church to be divided concerning for example, beliefs about the Godhead, baptisms, the sabbath etc? Thanks and the Lord bless you as I await your reply.
Answernice to hear from you on this question David
One the subject of the one church, we are right to conclude biblically that there in only one church (Matt 16:18) in which Jesus only promised to build his church. The only way that christiandom can get away from the one church is if they get away from the scriptures to determine what kind of church they will be. If we let the bible decide what God's church is and is not, we would not have all the different demoninations that are in our world today. Concerning any doctrine about God and salvation, we go to Act 2 when the lord church got started to found our basis on entrance into God Kindgom, specifically Act 2:36-47. Beliefs about the Godhead, baptism, the sabbath etc should have a biblical basis as well. The sabbath was a convenent between God and Israel in the old testament, we have no instructions as Christians to observe the sabbath. The Godhead acts in one unison to accomplish the will of God. There is now only one baptism (Eph 4:1-4), and by that baptism is one added to the church and given the gift of the holy spirt (Acts 2:38). If we as Christians truly believe in God's Word, we should make every effort to trust, abide, and obey that word. When we get that kind of mentally about God, the division will cease to exist. Hope i have helped in answering your question David.
