Churches Of Christ/About the death of Jesus

Question
Dear Ernie,
If it is God's plan to make Jesus die for our sins why did he executed very late.

I mean why did not Jesus die immediately after sin entered into the world through Adam.

Praywin

Answer
Because man would not have understood the necessity for Jesus's death, the importance of it, or the need to respond to it.  The whole purpose of the OT was to bring the world to Christ (Gal. 3:24).

Think for a moment how the world would be if the time between Adam and the New Testament did not take place, that Eve gave birth to the Savior instead of Mary.

In Truth and Love,

Ernie
