Question
Hi .  I live in Texas and attend the Liberty C of C.  Just had a 19 1/2 yr. old daughter move to Murrieta , CA.  92562 , to go to nursing school.
I also have a 22 yr.old living there---a son.
She asked me to help her find a mainstream C of C to attend , hopefully with a young singles group.
I got on a website and the closest one I found was in Moreno Valley.
Maybe you can find what they are looking for.
Thank you and God Bless !

Answer
Hi!

Sister Donna, lightning struck my phoneline over a month ago. I am disabled and live in a remote area. The phone company just now fixed my line. I am dreadfully sorry I could not access another terminal to answer your question sooner.

It does my heart much good to see our youth seeking to remain faithful as they leave home. I am more than glad to help.

Here is the information I gathered.

I am unfamiliar with these congregations. I would strongly suggest a thourough investigation before making any commitments.

These were found within a 10 mile radius of the given ZIP Code. Should this prove unsuitable, let me know, and I can widen the search radius. Also, if needed, I can provide driving directions to these from any given address: it need not be the children's addresses, just one for which they already know the location.

Once again, I deeply regret the amount of time it took me to get to this. I have been warring with the phone company. They kept refusing to come out, insisting it was a problem in the portion of the line for which I am responsible. All of their computer checks of the line seemed to confirm this. It turned out it was a lightning strike at the foot of the mountain, and their problem.

Expertise

I consider myself to be a "doctrine specialist" if there is such a thing. I offer scripture to support or refute (as needed) any doctrine practiced within what is commonly termed "Christianity" today. I am willing to try questions on prophecy and history, though they are weak points. I have learned a little, however. Also, as I am disabled, I have time to research many things. For example, I can find a congregation of the church within twenty miles of your ZIP Code if one exists. If traveling, I can locate a congregation for your visit. I am accountable in this ministry to a group of Christians. I will share my answers with them for review. If a question is private, I will redact the names for privacy.

Experience

I became a Christian on April 7, 1969. I have been a substitute, spur-of-the-moment preacher for thirty years. My last pulpit was with the congregation in Braswell, GA. My sermons have always contained at least fifty percent scripture. On occasion, I have preached in seven states, and four foreign nations. This is beside my online ministry. I am now, officially retired.

I hope to never mislead anyone saying I'm a member of one group, when I'm really in another as one here does. By his own admission, he isn't a member of the church, but of the "Christian Church" (sic) denomination. If I can be honest, I don't know why others would want to lie.

Education/Credentials
Having already acquired significant Bible education from self-study, I attended 1.5 years of Bible college through the church at Dyersburg, TN (before my health waned) in an attempt to get paper to say I know what I know.
