Question
I would like to know is there any part of the Old Testament that we should still live by. I was told that even though Christ came and the New Covenant started after his death that we should still go by some of the old laws. Was the old law just for the Jews and not the Gentiles? If so did God every give the Gentiles a law to live by? Can you tell me where in the New Testament that it says to give 10 per cent when tithing?

Answer
Thankyou for this question Sydney

We as New testament christians are under no obligations to live by any laws established in the old testament.  Since old testament laws were designed for the Jews, they were for them since all other peoples where considered Gentiles.  The New Testament brought in the new covenant for all people who want to follow God the right way Jews or Gentiles. So our law(s) for Gentiles are established in the New Testament. Also under the New Testament we are not obligated to tithe. Look at 1Cor. 16 v1&2, and also 2Cor 9. 6&7 when you get the chance.  They state when we are supposed to give and how. Now there is nothing wrong with tithing when you do it because you want to (it is purposed in your heart) but if you feel the need or that God will not bless you if you don't tithe that is when it is a problem.

I hope I have answered your questions to the best of the ability God gave me, if you have anymore questions feel free to ask
