Question
I HAVE BEEN TALKING TO THIS GUY AND HE FROM DIFFERENT CHURCH THAN ME AND I JUST TRYING TO UNDERSTAND BACKGROUND FROM HIS CHURCH HE CHURCH OF CHRIST AND I'M ASSEMBLY OF GOD. WHAT THE DIFF. AND I BEEN TOLD THAT CHURCH OF CHRIST BELIEVE ONCE SAVE ALWAYS SAVES IS THAT TRUE

Answer
Thankyou for your question

The Church of Christ does not believe that once saved always saved.  Jesus had a parable about the seed (the word of God) and four separated instances where the cares of life can come in and take some away.  Paul also spoke to Christians to "take heed unless ye fall" to remind them to be sober and vigilant for the Lord.  People can not be saved and not grow in there Christianity.  They must learn more about God, love, patience, temperance, longsuffering, forgiveness, or life could make them fall away.  The devil walks around looking to devour (1 Pet. 5:8) and he want those who have turned their life over to the Lord in the worst way.  One can be saved and let the cares of this life superseed the care for God.  So, once saved always saved in not scripturally right and not a doctrine the Church of Christ believes in.

God Bless

Experience

I was born and raised in the Church of Christ and was baptized at age 10. With the help of my mother and father, brothers and sisters of the church, christian friends etc...I have a profound knowledge of the truth about the Word of God. I am strong in my beliefs and convictions and will answer anyones questions with scriptual knowledge and fact. I want to boldly proclaim the true Word of God according to Bible principal instead of what I think or what someone has told me.
