Question
Is it against the scriptures for a married couple to give of their money every Sunday in  one check or one envelope.  Is it necessary for them to write a seprated check for their indivdual offering?  Are we in error according the scriptures I Cor 16:1(everyone)?

Answer
Thankyou for your question Jeanette

It is not against the scripture to give money together as a married couple, just determine in your heart to give cheerfully to the Lord. Example: say that u determined to give 30 dollars on Sunday and your husband determined to give 30 as well, but you both wrote one individual check for $60. That check is just as good at two individual checks for $30 because God knows that u each gave 30 apiece in your hearts.  As long as you give "cheerfully" (I Cor. 9:7) together that is what God loves.  I encourage both of u just to give cheerfully from your heart so long as u do that you are in agreement with God's word.

Experience

I was born and raised in the Church of Christ and was baptized at age 10. With the help of my mother and father, brothers and sisters of the church, christian friends etc...I have a profound knowledge of the truth about the Word of God. I am strong in my beliefs and convictions and will answer anyones questions with scriptual knowledge and fact. I want to boldly proclaim the true Word of God according to Bible principal instead of what I think or what someone has told me.
