Churches Of Christ/The nature of Sin

Question
Hello:

I am currently working on a personal project about the nature of Sin. I am the artist and co-author of a religious, contemporary graphic novel focusing heavily on Sin. I want to include more than just the Christian viewpoint, though that will be the main focus, so am contacting experts of various different religions in order to gain a better understanding of the world view of Sin. I was hoping you could give me a rundown of Sin and your understanding of it, anything you have to offer me is helpful and much appreciated, I am open to absolutely any information concerning the subject, and I thank you in advance.

Answer
Thankyou for your question Alyssa

My assessment of sin is anything we do that is in violation of God's laws and ways.  I think sin comes about in two ways: total rebellion against God's law (doing whatever you want to do regardless of knowing God's ways or not), or failure to do what God has told us to do.  It is for that very reason that God had to have is Son Jesus to die for us all as a sacrifice for all of our sins.  And it was the only way we could be re-united with God.  Sin is what separated us from God, and it is also a personal choice for us.  We choose to do sin, but if we are Christians we have that relationship with God so that we can ask His forgiveness and be confident He will forgive us.  I hope I have help you in some small way with your question, may God be with you in the completion of your book.

God bless always

Experience

I was born and raised in the Church of Christ and was baptized at age 10. With the help of my mother and father, brothers and sisters of the church, christian friends etc...I have a profound knowledge of the truth about the Word of God. I am strong in my beliefs and convictions and will answer anyones questions with scriptual knowledge and fact. I want to boldly proclaim the true Word of God according to Bible principal instead of what I think or what someone has told me.
