Cigars/Purchasing cigars in Jamaica

Hi James, I hope you can help me, I have friends going to Jamaica, and I am hoping to get them to bring me some cigars back at cheaper price than I can get them for here in Ab.Can you tell me if cigars are very accessible there and if it is worth it as far as the price? Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time James.

I'm not very familiar with cigar stores in Jamaica but what I can do is give you the contact info for the Habanos SA-authorized distributor responsible for Jamaica and I'm sure they can forward you a list of Habanos SA-approved shops in Jamaica that you can tell your friends to visit.
The distributor is called CARIBBEAN CIGARS CORPORATION (CCC) N.V. and they are the regional Habanos SA-approved distributor for the Carribean which includes Jamaica.

Simply drop them a line and ask them if they could forward you a list of authorized Habanos SA cigar shops in Jamaica. Their website does have a retailer directory but at the moment it seems to be down.

I currently have 19 dedicated years of cigar smoking and counting. I have smoked every brand of Cuban cigars and most reputable non-Cuban cigar brands on a regular basis so I know a fair bit about taste profiles, cigar etiquette and other fine nuances to cigar smoking. For 5 years, I studied with Cuban torcedores (rollers), catadores (taste testers) and revisadores (inspectors) on every aspect involving the production of the Cuban cigar and I am currently writing a book that will help beginners understand everything they need to know about cigars and cigar smoking.
