Cigars/moist n air vs oasis

Question
I currently use the oasis 2 and can't seem to keep my cigars hydrated enough.  I keep an average of 200m - 300 smokes in my floor model unit at a time.  Plus I don't like the process of refilling the oasis.  I like the large resevouir feature of the moist n air.  I've received conflicting reports about the hygrometer accuracy of the moist n air.  I appreciate and look forward to your feedback.  My floor model unit holds up to to 2000 smokes.

Answer
Joe,

I'm not a big fan of the Moist-N-Aire humidifiers. We use some in our commercial units, but they don't last more than 18 months or so and the controls are not super accurate.

There is a unit called Humidifresh that is a similar size, but I think much better quality. It is suppose to maintain up to 50 cubic feet, has a better humistat and they seem to last much longer. You can read about them and order one directly from American Cigar Accessories at amhumidifiers.com

They are available with a 1 gallon tank or you can order one that plumbs directly to a water line so you never have to refill it manually.

Hope this helps.

Expertise

I'm a fourth generation cigar maker and have spent 25+ years operating our factory as well as a mail order cigar company. I belong to cigar manufacturers associations as well as retail cigar associations so I'm usually up to date with current events relating to cigars. I've smoked the majority of brands on the market and would be happy to share my opinions of them with you. Since I live in the U.S. I have very little experience with Cuban cigars, but other than that I know a least a little bit about almost every brand of cigars on the market.

Experience

In addition to growing up in and now managing our cigar factory for 25+ years, I've spent time in many factories in Honduras, Nicaragua, The Dominican Republic and Mexico. BR>
