Cigars/De-Ionized or Destilled

Question
I bought some Deionized water, is this ok to use in the humidor as an alternative to destilled?.

Hi Charles,
You will have to check the label closely. If the water is bottled drinking water and contains supplements such as Calcium, Fluoride and Sodium, you can not use it in your humidor. Using water that contains these mineral supplements will create mineral trace inside your humidor that can clog your humidification device and impair your humidor's performance.
If the water does not contain any mineral supplements, you can use it in your humidor. Some de-ionized water do not mention what mineral deposits, if any, remains in the water so it's best to not put your cigars and humidor at risk with it. The safest option is to use distilled water or "bidest" water which is double-distilled water.
