Cigars/Miniature humidor

Question
I was wondering if it would be possible to make a "humidor" or at least supplemental storage for flavored cigars out of a old wooden cigar box that has a credo about the size of 50 cent piece?  Also what brand would make a good low cost mild bodied turn to cigar?

Answer
Michael,

Anything that is air tight can be used as a humidor, so if your box seals tight it'll probably work. If it won't hold humidity and you just want something to store these cigars in, use the Credo humidifier in a Tupperware type container and that will work fine.

There are tons of choices of mild, low cost cigars. If you like lightly sweet try Baccarat. Un-flavored try Arturo Fuente Curly Head or Breva, El Credito, or Bock. We have some private label bundles you'd enjoy - try our "Finck Brands Sampler" and you'll get a sampling of 8 different brands (24 cigars total) for under $1.50 each. You can read about the sampler at www.finckcigarcompany.com

Expertise

I'm a fourth generation cigar maker and have spent 25+ years operating our factory as well as a mail order cigar company. I belong to cigar manufacturers associations as well as retail cigar associations so I'm usually up to date with current events relating to cigars. I've smoked the majority of brands on the market and would be happy to share my opinions of them with you. Since I live in the U.S. I have very little experience with Cuban cigars, but other than that I know a least a little bit about almost every brand of cigars on the market.

Experience

In addition to growing up in and now managing our cigar factory for 25+ years, I've spent time in many factories in Honduras, Nicaragua, The Dominican Republic and Mexico. BR>
