Question
Hi.  I have a humidor that has gone untouched and empty for about a year. I am not sure if humidors "go bad".  If I re-season it, will it be ok to use?

Hi Jim,

If your humidor doesn't have mold or physical damage (that would compromise humidity and humidor performance), you can definitely re-season your humidor and continue to use it.  If your humidor does have mold, simply brush and vacuum the mold up (use a bristle attachment) and thoroughly apply a light amount of Isopropyl Alcohol/rubbing alcohol to the interior of the humidor.  This will kill any residual mold spores remaining and prevent them from reforming.  Afterwards, re-season your humidor as you normally would and everything will be fine.
