Question

mold or not?
i have read countless opinions about how to differentiate mold from bloom but i cannot say what is the case with the cubans i have just bought.
most people say it is not mold if it does not stain the wrapper even if you wipe it with your finger...
to help you i have some pictures of these cubans

Answer
The picture is mold for sure but even so when you have this stuff or anything like it be prepared to work.
Use Isopropyl alcohol only - wet a clean cloth Wipe the cigars gently with the cloth cleaning off all the mold, dab the foot of the cigar also to get all the mold off it. Then leave them out to dry overnight and replace them in your humidor. Throw away the original box - or clean out the box also with Rubbing Alcohol and leave it open overnight to dry completely.
I have seen cigars like this and cleaned them with Isopropyl Alcohol, the mold did not recur even though I left them for several months in my test, and they smoked fine.
