Question

zippo lighter
I have a zippo lighter with the persons initials engraved on it and engraved lines running top to bottom on the whole lighter.It also comes with a leather carrying case.According to the marks on the bottom,two on the left and one on the right of the name zippo it was made in 1971.Was this type of engraving done by jewelers or smoke shops.Could you estimate it's approximate value.Thank you.

Value $35 ?
Check ebay for values but this one is not that collectible. The hot ones are real old - like 30s and 40s or unusual logos for instance my Disneyland Zippo from 1971 is worth $250, Vietnam Zippos are worth $50 to $500 depending on the outfit and more. Usually logos Business or military are the most desirable. Production lighters with Initials are valuable in the 30s and 40s Zippos only.
