I have a couple of questions regarding my humidor setup. I have been smoking for some time but only recently started storing/ageing cigars on a large scale. I currently have in the region of 200 cigars and my humidor is pretty much packed.
1. Will this storing at capacity be good for the cigars - do they need more 'breathing space'?
2. My humidifier is attached to the lid and I have noticed a large discrepancy regarding humidity between the lower areas and right underneath it. Is it bad to store cigars half an inch below the humidifier?
Would appreciate any response - thanks in advance.

Answer Your observations are beyond the normal humidor owner and all correct.
Go with your information, get another humdidor and do not stack them so high. To bring humidity to the bottom of the stack and keep it consistent, layer in 2 Boveda humidity packets and they will have to be replaced perhaps every 3 or 4 months.
No Boveda scenario-
2 humidors
Rotate your cigars every few weeks top to bottom.
Leave the wrappers on the cigars because if you are moving them around they will be damaged easily. If they do not have wrappers be carefull moving them around.
