Question
Hello, this is my first time on this sit, lots of good questions and great answers.  I'm having problems with heat in my humidor. I had a custom 7.5 foot tall humidor built and first I installed 4 oasis XL but realized it wouldn't do the job, so I bought a "MOIST-N-AIRE" cigar humidifier, it works great, the bottom shelf is at 70% and the very top is 68%.  But the problem is this piece seems to create heat, my humidor is reading 78 degrees and it's not even warm in my house.  When the warmer weather comes and my house does warm up it my be scary in the humidor.  Is there any product on the market that can maintain the heat levels? Thank you for you help.

Answer
The Moist-n-Aire is probably creating heat in the cabinet.
Make sure no lights are on as they create heat. Make sure no lights are near that might be affecting the humidor.
I was just posting for another Question and I mentioned my friend with a serious home commitment to cigars. He bought the Costco room Air conditioner and kept just the room where his cigars were, extra cool.

Vigilant humidors makes cabinet humidors with refrigeration and you might check with them.
I will check for my own info on Monday.

Anyway you look at it you should consider a way to keep the one room cooler if you intend to make a large $ commitment in cigars.
