Question
Hi Mr. Finck and Thank you for answering my question. I'm wondering if it's okay to store maduros with natural leaf cigars in my humidor. Will all the oils from a maduro infuse with my non maduro cigars by lying(touching) next to each other?
Thanks again-Patrick

Answer
Patrick,

Mixing cigars with different blends of tobaccos, whether that be the wrapper or even the filler, will cause some slight "marrying" of the tobaccos, but unless the cigars are stored for an extended period - several weeks or more - you probably would not notice the change. One thing you can do to help prevent this is keep the cigar in their cellophane tubes. This not only helps contain the cigars unique aromas but also protects them from damage as you move them around in the humidor or take them with you to the golf course, restaurant...

Hope this helps.
Bill

Expertise

I'm a fourth generation cigar maker and have spent 25+ years operating our factory as well as a mail order cigar company. I belong to cigar manufacturers associations as well as retail cigar associations so I'm usually up to date with current events relating to cigars. I've smoked the majority of brands on the market and would be happy to share my opinions of them with you. Since I live in the U.S. I have very little experience with Cuban cigars, but other than that I know a least a little bit about almost every brand of cigars on the market.

Experience

In addition to growing up in and now managing our cigar factory for 25+ years, I've spent time in many factories in Honduras, Nicaragua, The Dominican Republic and Mexico. BR>
