Question
I'm going out of the country for a wedding and bringing some cigars for the occasion, but won't have access to a humidor. How long can a tubed cigar stay humid, if not kept in a humidor?

Answer
Days - weeks, it depends on the humidity outside, as tubes are not the greatest.
Put them in a zip lock bag and they will stay for 2 weeks for sure.
Be sure to lock it properly.
More protection? Put one zip lock inside another zip lock and seal them up.

20 years ago to test this-
I put cigars in a zip lock bag on my dresser and smoked one after 1 week and it was fine. I smoked another one after 2 weeks and it was still fine. After three weeks the next one was getting a little crunchy. That is in Anaheim California where humidity is usually around 50% average.
