Question
I bought a humidor a few weeks back. I followed the directions and seasoned it and placed the hygrometer in it. It has been approximately two weeks and the gage has not moved. Is that normal? How often should I have to replace the water in it? Thanks for your help.

Answer
The gauges in most humidors are cheap junk. Get a digital for around $20 to $40 to be sure.

Put water in every 3 to 4 weeks soak the device in water upside down and let the distilled water soak up into the device.

Hopefully they gave you some Propylene glycol solution also because it inhibits mold growth and should be used every 6 months.
I push the Boveda pillows that keep exact humidity use it with the other device they gave you. All my customers live on the Boveda devices. Put Boveda in google search to find the store near you.
For a medium 50 count humidor you only need one 72%. Get 2 to have one back up as they have a 1 year shelve life and will save on shipping.
