I have collected a great amount of cigars and I am ready to sell them. Where can
I get an appraisal of cigars. I live in San Francisco

To get your cigar items apraised/sold, look in your local yellow page phonebook for antique dealers that specialize in "TOBACCIANA" (look under "Antiques - Dealers", "Cigars" or "Tobacciana"). If your local tobacciana dealers will not buy or appraise your items, they will most definitely refer you to someone that will.
If you have a large quantity of vintage cigars, you may also want to contact a reputable auction house such as Sotheby's or Christie's and they will gladly arrange to have a tobacciana specialist look at your cigars and work with you on appraising and selling them.
You may also find collectors and private buyers at local cigar stores that will buy your cigars.

I currently have 19 dedicated years of cigar smoking and counting. I have smoked every brand of Cuban cigars and most reputable non-Cuban cigar brands on a regular basis so I know a fair bit about taste profiles, cigar etiquette and other fine nuances to cigar smoking. For 5 years, I studied with Cuban torcedores (rollers), catadores (taste testers) and revisadores (inspectors) on every aspect involving the production of the Cuban cigar and I am currently writing a book that will help beginners understand everything they need to know about cigars and cigar smoking.
