Question
MJ,

I just bought a box of romeo y julietas that are tubed, how long will they keep in the tubes and in the box, I'd like I keep them around just to give to friends? Thanks

Answer
Watch it, cigars in tubes breed mold.

Without a humidor put the whole box in a Zip lock bag and sealed it will last about a month.
How about- take out the few cigars you need for the week put them in a zip lock bag and seal up the box in 2 zip lock bags one inside the other and they might last a few months.
The more you take the box out of the zip lock and open the box the shorter time they will survive.

Put a Boveda humidity packet in the zip lock bag with the box and they will stay for 3 or 4 months with no mold.

Romeo in tubes -
They take the worst odd colored cigars and stick them in tubes so you cannot see the flaws.
Stay away from tubed cigars in the future.
