Is there such a Cohiba Double Corona Edicion Limitada 2008. I see the 2003 out there but have yet to read about a 2008. If so is it a good cigar and its worth per box?

ANSWER: Hi Rich,

Unfortunately, Cohiba does not have a 2008 Edicion Limitada Double Corona.  The Cohiba Edicion Limitada double corona was only released in 2003.  In 2008, the only genuine Edicion Limitada cigars that were released were:

Cuaba Piramides
Montecristo Sublimes
Partagas Serie D No.5

ANSWER: Hi Rich,

Cohiba never made any 2008 Edicion Limitada or 2008 Regional double corona.  The only double corona that they made was in 2003 (Edicion Limitada).

QUESTION: Do the Cuban Cigars come sealed in wax paper or are they using plastic shrink wrap now. At least for Cohibas..Your help is tremendous thank you.

Hi Rich,

Depending on the regional distributor, Cohiba boxes may be shrink-wrapped in plastic.  For slide lid boxes like the Siglo series or robusto cigar, the bundled cigars are wrapped with a piece of tissue paper and then bound with a ribbon.  The cigars are not individually wrapped in cellophane plastic but certain ones are packaged in deluxe aluminum cigar tubes (such as the Siglo II) or cardboard boxes such as the Siglo 5-packs.  In the 5-packs, each cigar is also packaged in a single cardboard sleeve.  All Cohiba boxes are varnished.  For the Esplendido and Edicion Limitada Double Corona, the varnished box is packaged in a plain cardboard box with all the labels affixed to the cardboard box instead of the varnished box.
